The hospital opens fourth. A doctor's office, a dentist, a waiting room and an ambulance bay give children the words for a visit that can feel big, which helps make the real one familiar.
Kadoo opens its places in order of how early children usually learn their words, measured with the age-of-acquisition ratings of Kuperman, Stadthagen-Gonzalez and Brysbaert (2012), in which adults estimated the age at which they learned 30,000 English words.
Doctor's office

Practice them at home
- Play doctor with a teddy: listen with a pretend stethoscope, put on a bandage, and name each thing you use.
- Before a real check-up, look at the doctor's and dentist's words together so the room holds no surprises.
- When your child has a cold, name what you use: "thermometer", "bandage". One word at the right moment sticks.
Learn them in Kadoo
