The restaurant opens third. Its dining room, kitchen, pizzeria and bakery are full of food words, tableware and the cakes and pizzas children ask for by name.
Kadoo opens its places in order of how early children usually learn their words, measured with the age-of-acquisition ratings of Kuperman, Stadthagen-Gonzalez and Brysbaert (2012), in which adults estimated the age at which they learned 30,000 English words.
Pizzeria

Practice them at home
- Play restaurant: lay out a few flashcards as a menu and let your child order from you in English, one word at a time.
- At mealtimes, ask "pasta or soup?" with the real food on the table, so the choice itself is the practice.
- Bake or cook something simple together and name each ingredient and tool as you pick it up.
Learn them in Kadoo
